BBB Kids Blog
Posted on | October 28, 2008 | 4 Comments

I spent an hour and a half in a real classroom last week, with real kids and a real teacher (namely, my wife, Jan), helping them set up their class blog, called BBBKids (and I lived to tell the tale). The ‘BBB’ stands for ‘biggest, busiest, best’ – as they are the biggest class in their school, and they claim to be the busiest and the best. I’m absolutely sure that the other classes in the school might have something to say about that!
Anyway, the blog is up and running – as I write this post (Wednesday 29th October) there is just one post on the BBBKids blog, their introductory post, as well as an ‘About Us’ page. BUT – they have promised me there will be a minimum of 10 posts up on the blog by the end of this week.
I am watching closely……
The infectious glee with which this lovely bunch of kids approached this whole idea was wonderful to see – and even though there are no other posts up there yet, the comments generated by some parents and one or two of the kids themselves offer some flavour of their interest and enthusiasm. I’m sure the flood will start soon, and then there will be no holding them back.
And once they start publishing, I know they would love to hear from anyone who wants to comment on their work.
So, I will be heading back to the BBBKids blog as soon as I get home from the hot and sunny Gulf to the cold and wet (but beautiful) Scottish Borders on Friday evening…..I wonder what I might find there?
