Leonard Cohen at the Beacon Theatre, NYC – for free!
Posted on | March 13, 2009 | 1 Comment
From the Open Culture blog, an iTunes link to a free podcast of a Leonard Cohen gig at the Beacon Theatre in Manhattan. 12 songs in 1hr14m.
This is, according to the blog, Cohen’s first US tour for 15 years.
The iTunes Store link actually takes you to the National Public Radio Live Concerts list – here you will find a rich seam of free music from the likes of Tom Wait, Steve Earle, Jose Gonzales, Nick Lowe, Travis, the Polyphonic Spree, Richard Thompson, and many many others. All tastes are catered for here – even Radiohead fans! As one plaintive comment on the site notes: “Why can’t UK radio stations manage to do anything as good as this?”
Links for those without iTunes – here and here.
