Song for Mandy

Posted on | November 27, 2009 | 2 Comments

Dan Bull, who describes himself as a 22 year-old Middle England misanthrope, has written a song, Dear Mandy, to Peter Mandelson (Barry Manilow, eat your heart out!). Give Dan a listen, and then go sign the 10 Downing Street Petition to register your objection to Mandy’s nonsensical and destructive proposals.

If you want to write your own letter to Mandelson, then join the Open Rights Group and get writing!

Dan has made an MP3 of the song available, and you might even want to download his latest album.

And, of course, you’ll want to follow Dan on Twitter.

Thanks to Tom Watson MP for the link via Twitter.

Thanks for flagging this up John. I’ve signed the petition. I was especially interested in the comment by the petition’s creator that those with sufficient know-how, if cut off from their own providers, will simply try to hack into others’ wireless networks, resulting in totally innocent people being cut off.

I enjoy the irony of using the democratic process of the petition to lobby against a politician who (this time around) did not have to convince the electorate.

I love Dan Bull’s song and the description of his being a Middle England misanthrope.
