OLPC Ad

Posted on | November 11, 2007 | 1 Comment

Spotted in a recent edition of Time Magazine – an ad for OLPC’s ‘buy one – donate one’ campaign. I wonder why they made the ‘window of opportunity’ so short – just 2 weeks starting tomorrow (12th Nov)?

As the ad states: “Help a child connect with the world.”

If the idea interests you, go to laptopgiving.org. If you live outside the USA you’ll need to know someone with a US address, as it’s a US-only promotion at this stage.

    Hi John,

Thanks for your post about the new XO laptop from the OLPC campaign. We at Razoo really support this kind of creative solution, so much so that we’re including it in our “Good Travels” contest.

If you’re interested in winning one of these OLPC laptops, check out Razoo’s “Good Travels” contest, which encourages travelers to do good while one the road. Five 2nd prize contest winners will receive the new XO laptop (and 5 laptops will be donated to children in developing nations).

By the way, the grand prize of the contest is a trip for two anywhere in the world to put good into action (via ResponsibleTravel.com).

You can learn more about it and enter here: http://beta.razoo.com/good_travels

    Cheers,
    rebecca
